Spring is coming!

Spring feels like its really and truly coming! The pasture is starting to green up, there are chicks in the brooder and the daily temps have been reaching the 60's some days! The impending arrival of spring has me excited and restless. We enjoy the winter here at Full Quiver (and even manage to kid ourselves that it's our slower, down season:) but we're always ready when Spring makes its first appearance.

The Lord has graciously provided for our needs during the "leaner" winter months where lots is going out and not as much coming in. Over the winter the Lord has grown our dairy herd substantially. We're now milking 14 cows (plus a few dried off) and around a dozen or so heifers and more demand for cowshares than we can possibly meet.

The hens have kept us in good supply of eggs this winter which has kept our customers happy!

 Our puppy, Bella is growing fast! She's still such a puppy though. She enjoys chasing cats and chickens and generally annoying Bess the older farm dog.

This winter we started using Quick Books which has been very helpful. We're still in the beginning stages and its been a lot of work to set up but we know its going to be worth it in the long run.

Lately I have been marveling afresh over Christ's so great salvation. When I find myself in the midst of trials or hard days I find that turning my eyes to the Great Savior causes the problems or trials to fall into proper perspective. God is sovereign. Everything works out for good to them who are called according to His purpose.

^"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?." Romans 8:31-33 

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16
